Angel Hugs (Stampotique Originals new release)

It's the first of the month so that means Stampotique Originals has new stamps up today! I'm showcasing a card made with 2 new releases, the birdie branch by Tini Lubberink and the Angels by Terri Richardson.  I've used watercolor paper and my Tombow markes for this card, added some shadows with Distress Crayons and matted onto black before adhering to the card base. The hugs sentiment is die cut from Technique Tuesday. Oh and of course to add more texture I almost always use Kate Crane's Texture cube :)

Check out more new release stamps from the other DT members in our Facebook group.

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Art Journal: Floral Queen Bee

Floral queen bee

Continuing with playing in my art journal with the new release from Stampotique Originals and this time it's Flower Frenzy designed by Kassa Hayselden. I just absolutely LOVE the flower designs she does and this is no exception! The image is embossed on watercolor paper and colored in with Jane davenport Mermaid markers. Love how the white part which is embossed resists all the color.  Bees are by Jo Capper Sandon and I've cut parts of the sentiment of Be your Own Queen to make Queen Bee. The beauty of text stamps really, is you can just rearrange stuff to your liking to form phrases you want ;)

Groovy Richard New release April 2018

Meet Richard Pelvis, a newly released stamp from Stampotique Originals designed by Daniel Torrente. Isn't he just Groovy? I definitely think so. He's placed on the second half of the gelli printed paper from Sunday's post -  that StencilGirl mask is just so gorgeous to work with!

A short but sweet little blogpost from me today. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Art Journal: Oh Jackie (Stampotique Originals New Release April 2018)

Stampotique new release April 2018

Hi all, it's the first of the month and we're sharing some new releases by Stampotique Originals today! I created a page with a gelli print made with Liquitex paints and StencilGirl Deconstructed Chrysanthemum Mask and Stencil by Traci  Bautista. The wonderful new face stamp by Daniel Torrente is called Oh, Jackie. Isn't she just wonderful? Absolutely love that hair, there is so much potential! I've also used the quote from Terri Richardson's Phrase cube 2 which I thought was fitting and added some texture with Kate's Texture Cube.

Check out our facebook group for more new release makes from my other lovely DT members and I'll be sharing a few more in the course of this month. Do check back later this week for some inspiration for our current challenge at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog

Art Journal: I Heart You Cindy (Stampotique Originals March new release)

March new release

Hi all! Today I have another art journal page to share with you. It's made with a few Stampotique Originals  new stamp releases! We have a new seahorse to add to the family, which is Cindy Seahorse by Kassa Hayselden. She has been super popular ever since Kassa posted the drawing at our facebook page and we are all super delighted that she is in stamp form now. YAY! I paired her up with cute Rudy and used some words from the When your heart speaks quote stamp. Added a few hearts cut out from Daniel's Hearts background stamp for accents. Also in the background is parts of Doodle Mania and is it's such a gorgeous journal stamp and versatile to use for texture in the back gound like this. By the way the back ground is make with Liquitex modeling paste over a stencil, I added Lindy's magical shakers and sprayed to get a fun color blend, then added some metallic sheen with Deco Art media Lusters. Border with distress crayons and then adhered the pieces (colored with alcohol markers on sticker paper) on top of it.

And check out Kassa's Facebook as she is graciously holding a giveaway of her designed stamps this weekend.

To see more of the new releases this month, click HERE and there are 7 stamps instead of the usual 6 :) Also there is a new designer on the team, Tini Rubberink, so definitely take a look at her fun and quirky designs!

We also have a new challenge running this fortnight, which is the theme of Mail Art! Coming week I'll have some inspiration posted for that as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

New releases Stampotique Originals - February 2018

Stampotique new releases february 2018

It's the beginning of the new month and Stampotique has a few amazing new stamps releases! I've made a few cards with them and today I would like to show you a couple. First off is this birthday card. The Giant Birthday Cake by Terri Richarson is a new release this month. I've used an inky mop up page as background which I gessoed lightly and stamped some texture on it. The sentiment are word die cuts from Tim Hotz handwritten sentiments. Blackeyed is from last year's releases.

Stampotique new releases february 2018
A very sweet new release this month is that really cute EWE (sheep) and the EWE sentiments cube by Terri. Super cute card for valentines day, don't you think? I cut a few hearts from Daniel's hearts collage stamp to use for different projects and added a few here too.

Be sure to check back on monday for more new release project from me. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Tree Swing (Stampotique new release january 2018)

new releases january 2018

Today I have another fun new release from Stampotique Originals to show you and that is this wonderful design by Jill Penney called Tree Swing. Isn't he adorable? I've also used another quote from this great new Quote stamp block as well as my fave texture stamp from Kate Crane and the gorgeous Hive Flowers by Arwen McCullen.

new releases january 2018
I have to say that I really enjoy working in my home made "watercoloring" book! The Moleskine pocket water color book is such a wonderful size for a daily "coloring fix" and the paper is quite forgiving too! Here I experimented on a page I have already worked on as a test with masking fluid, which failed sadly, but I worked over it with more color and it gave the background a nice texture. Without warping or damaging the paper. So it can really take a lot of wet medium!
I also absolutely LOVE how pigmented Jane Davenport Brights set are (which I mainly used for this and added accents with Prima Shimmering Lights) and how boldly they pop off the page! Glad a got the sets last year :)

Anyhow, check out the new releases this month HERE, our new challenge is online HERE and you can link up for that HERE (please do read the rules before linking up!)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Art Journal: Be Mine (Stampotique November 2017 new release)

SODT novemeber new release

Continuing with the Stampotique Originals november new release showcase today with another art journal page. It's valentines day inspired and these cuties are new designs by Daniel Torrente, Moses and Sara - don't they look cute together? A bit early season, but there is a fun Valentines Day phrase stamp out as well, which is where the "Be Mine" sentiment is from. I have also used Daniel's hearts in the background over the gelli printed page.

SO new release november 2017

I used a bit of digital image editing to form the heart around the cute couple. They are just super cute!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Art Journal: Soar (Stampotique New Releases November 2017)

Soar SODT nov new release

It's the first of the month so that means there are more new releases at Stampotique Originals! I'm sharing an art journal page here made with a few of the new released stamps.
The cute little Nina's Heart, pearls from the Treasure cube and I've made the word "soar" with a new alphabet designed by Terri Richardson! I have also used Kate's texture cube and Daniel's lovely wings to make little Nina and her heart soar up high. I've made this on watercolor paper and used my fave palette with watercolors again :)

Soar SODT nov new release
The Cloves and Honey colors has shimmer to them so I had to turn on the spotlight to capture the shimmer in this piece. But still doesn't quite show the true bling on this piece.

SODT nov releases
So I made a little video for you to see the shimmer and shine :D

I'll be showcasing more of the new releases later on this week, so stay tuned for that. Do check out the Stampotique Designer's Challenge blog for this week's challenge and how you can participate to win some fun rubber stamps!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Itsy Bitsy Spider (Stampotique new release October)

Oktober releases

It's the beginning of a new month and that means new releases from Stampotique Originals are available!

This pocket art journal page has a distress Oxide base. I still love making colorful backgrounds with those inks! It's another one layer page in which I have used this fun Spider stamp and as it has a smaller one on the side, I made Linda hold that one from her hand. The larger one is stamped on the background for some fun effect. The coloring is done with alcohol and faber castell pitt markers and the lettering with a Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen (with white gel pen accents)

The "friendly" neighbor (Stampotique new release October)

Oktober releases

It's the beginning of a new month and that means new releases from Stampotique Originals are available!

This art journal was started on a page I have rolled off some excess paint on and it had a fun and interesting effect on which I worked further and did some one layer scene stamping. The house and Wedgel are from the newest release and it looks like the "friendly Neighbor" is kindly requesting you to get off his lawn! Apparently we're getting on his last nerve :)

I've also used Hive Flower and Kate's Texture cube for the background. The coloring is done with alcohol markers, gel pens and colored pencils.

Art Journal: Gordon's Eye Roll (Stampotique New Release september 2017)

september releases stampotique 5

Hey lovely friends! Today is Friday and also Word Up Weekend at Stampotique Facebook Group and I'm sharing my last make of my "new at Stampotique week" with Kassa's super cute giraffe friend, Gordon. Kassa's drawing style is always so fun and whimsical and I just love to give color to her drawings to watch them come to life! I made a mixed media background with paints stencils and modeling paste. I colored his eyes emerald and with the same color I underlined Terri's phrase "oops, did I roll my eyes out loud?" which I thought would fit the image.

Art Journal: Harry's heart speaks (Stampotique New Release september 2017)

september releases stampotique 1

Today I am sharing a fun a quick art journal page I made with a super fun newly released stamp from Stampotique Originals. It's the Harry Heart stamp from Kassa Hayselden. Isn't he just precious? I've paired him with Daniel's hearts, France's Upholstered and her when heart speaks quote stamp. Harry was colored with alcohol markers and the background done with distress oxides and watercolor paints. The edges are lined with distress crayon in shabby shutters and smudged out to the inside to create the border.

Like Harry, I hope you'll listen to your heart when it speaks :)

Shut the Front Door (Stampotique New Release september 2017)

september release Stampotique

Today I am sharing a fun a quick postcard I made with a super fun newly released stamp from Stampotique Originals. It's the Dog with kittens stamp from Terri Richardson and isn't is just adorable? I love how the kitties are peaking from behind him! I colored with letraset alcohol markers, cut him out and adhered the image onto a piece I had left over paint and stamped images on. That is Mash up from France Papillon. I added more color with distress crayons and the piano keys ephemera to emulate a doormat. Thought it would be fun to add "Shut the front door" phrase from Terri because I think that it's might be the litter of kitties from the neighbor's house wanting to play with ol' Rufus here, what do you think? LOL :)

Thanks for dropping by and hope you will tomorrow to see my make for this week's challenge and have a wonderful day :)

Heartfelt watercolor note cards (Stampotique New Release september 2017)

simple and sincere notecards

Today I am sharing a few watercolor cards made with some of the newly released Stampotique Originals rubber stamps. There are two beautiful flower bouquets you can make some heartfelt note cards with like I have shown above. What I did with both was emboss the flowers on watercolor paper, then make the background and color in the flowers. die cut the sentiments and piece them together. These watercolors cards are just super fun to make and didn't cost much time at all! You just let the colors work its magic. The watercolors I have worked with here is from Cloves and Honey shimmering watercolors. They just SPARKLE in real life!

september releases stampotique 7
This bouquet is designed by Terri Richardson and I love the delicate flowers together. I chose one color for the flowers to make them pop from the background. The HUGS sentiment is a die cut from Technique Tuesday. And the accolades are from an alphabet sticker set I have.

september releases stampotique 11
This bouquet, called Flos,  is designed by Kassa Hayselden and she drew them in the same style as the popular "kassa's bloom" stamp. I really love this style and also like it has the word beautiful in it. It's a whimsical design with dots and scribbles and just super fun! I paired it with an XOXO die cut from Stamplorations "cutplorations" die. First on black then inlaid the vellum cut out. The accolades are from the same set. The watercolors are just super fantastic in real life!

Don't forget to check our newest Stampotique Designer's Challenge as well. Hope this inspired you to work with watercolors and these gorgeous new flower stamps from Stampotique originals!

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day :)

Art Journal: I think I just Threw up in my mouth (Stampotique New Release day!)

september releases stampotique 2

It's the 1st of the new month and that means it's New Release day at Stampotique Originals!! There are 6 new images out and I'll be showcasing them for you this coming week. I'm starting off with a design by Daniel Torrente and he is called Blackeyed. I think he's wonderfully morose looking and I have paired him up with a phrase from Terri Ridchardson from last month's release. I just love the sarcasm and witty humor the cube phrases have. Normally this phrase would be used in a negative setting, ie when someone dislikes something, but I used it in another way, like how excited are you for the new stamp releases? Yep, so excited I think I just threw up in my mouth ;)

september releases stampotique 3

Blackeyed was colored with alcohol letraset markers and fussy cut and adhered to the background. Which I made on a Distress Oxide base and stamped on with Kate's Texture Cube with my Kalaeida colors ink pad in fall colors. By the way, you can read here how I made the backgrounds with Distress Oxides.

Hope you are excited for the new releases as we are :) Come check out our facebook page where we share more images of the new releases and also check out our challenges at the Challenge blog. This fortnight's challenge is "backgrounds" and next week I'll share an inspiration for that too (but hopefully this also inspired you to make some fun backgrounds with our fun textures stamps and oxides :)

Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Patience is a virtue!

Stampotique DT work
I thought it would be fun to pair her with this phrase from phrase cube 3 by Terri Richardson  and make a fun sarcastic card out of it :)  The background is done with Brusho's over a script stencil and  colored her with Wink of Stella and Luna markers from zig on sticker paper, fussy cut and adhered to the page. Patience is indeed a virtue, right?

I would like to enter this card in the following challenge:
